Holidays a-coming!

This is my one-hundredth blog post! As if. That's actually mental. And what a good day to have it on! All the scrooges out there can shut up now because it's officially December so festive songs are legally allowed to be played and nobody can use the boring excuse of not talking or even thinking about Christmas because THERE IS ONLY 24 DAYS TO GO!

Anyway. The snow. Let's talk about that. I mean, I knew it was bad what with everybody on Twitter talking about it but it wasn't really until today that I actually realised how bad it was. I still haven't really come to terms with it yet! I think that's probably down to the fact that it's not bad at all here in Leicester so it's difficult to comprehend. There is snow, and it's been snowing all day, but it's not settling apart from the little bit of frosting on the ground, it's a bit of a pathetic attempt really and I wish it would either snow properly or not at all!

I rang home this morning to see if my parents had made it to work, Mum had but Dad hadn't. He'd walked (about an hour) to the train station at 6am only to find out his train had been delayed, and then cancelled, when he got there. He works in Nottingham so there was no other way of realistically getting there and being able to get home again! Talk about gutting! Mum had to crack out her snow boots and walk to work too, it took her about two hours I think and they had decided to close the office to the public!

Dad sent me these pictures and it was only when I saw these that the realisation kicked in:

Fingers crossed I can still get home on the weekend. If it carries on then there's not a chance in hell I'll make it and knowing that only makes me want to go home even more. Urgh.

In other news, this week has been probably my most productive week work-wise since I've been back and I am incredibly proud of myself. I've finished my lit review and have done half of my homework for Friday which I'm going to finish tomorrow (if my tutor decides to email me back, anyway). As a reward to myself I decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon and make a collage of my Christmas wish list. Some of it is realistic, while other bits and bobs really aren't, but a girl can dream, right?

1. Miu Miu Bow Satchel, 2. Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT, 3. La Prairie Midnight Rain EDT, 4. Strawberry Buttercream Yankee Candle, 5. Dior Midnight Poison EDT, 6. an iPad, 7. Vanilla Lime Yankee Candle, 8. MAC Fluidline, 9. OPI Top Coat & Base Coat, 10. MAC Sweet as Cocoa Blush, 11. Marc Jacobs purse, 12. Gingerbread Latte body cream

Did everybody open their advent calenders this morning? What did you get in it? I have two, they're both the same though so the element of surprise is lost once I've opened one (I'm not complaining!) but it's still fun! I got a little Santa hat in each one. I love that December is the only month when it's fully acceptable to eat chocolate every morning! All week I've wanted nothing more than to open every window of one of my calendars and eat all the chocolate out of it but so far I've resisted the urge, be proud guys, be proud! Let's hope the temptation doesn't kick in anymore because I might not be able to hold back anymore! Has anybody actually ever done that?

Ooh, I also just got my blogger secret santa, organised by Rani, and I'm excited to shop for it! :)

  2. The snow does look really pretty, but I still hate it! We had light snow on and off yesterday, which didn't settle. The forecast said we'd get some today, but there's not been any sign of it yet.
That Gingerbread Latte body cream looks amazing!
